Union County High School is a subpar school. The staff is not inclined to help the students. Students are allowed to sit and carry on text message conversations while in class. Homework, while it is given, is not a factor in your grade. The Board of Education needs to get an education. The whole staff at Union County Board of Education is incompetent. If you are considering moving to Union County or sending your child into this school system be warned. DO NOT subject your child to a lower level, substandard education. Unless you are one the wealthy, connected members of this close minded county government your child will not receive fair treatment. There are 2 sets of rules at the schools. The rules that apply strictly to the influential families and the rules that apply to everyone else. I encourage people to do their homework before entering into this school system. Get on the state education website and read up on it. Go to actual school board meetings and watch the incompetence prevail. Just a horrid school system.
Went to school in Union County my whole life. Anyone who wasn't happy with UCHS is probably pretty hard to please. Great school with small classes. Multiple school sponsored activities to choose from. I would highly recommended sending your children here..
Disappointed this school can't get with the times and accept people for who they are. It's sad to see a level 5 teacher be fired for supporting the GSA and providing a space space for teens who are being bullied and abused at school. Disgusting.
Staff is halfway decent, but the school doesn't know how to handle anything when it comes to disciplining kids. Graduated from in 2015.
I just heard their football team got removed this year due to how terrible it was because when my school, Halls High School, played against them last year, Halls won 50 to 6 and other schools said they did terrible as well at other games. I know a school can't be bad because of how their football program is of course, but if you like High school football don't go there. I also heard that this school was terrible anyways so I am glad I do not go there after reading all the reviews.
